The evolution of the forest fire declared around midnight in the municipality of Arafoin Tenerife, and which affects the municipality of Candelaria and neighboring areas of Santa Úrsula and La Victoria, forced to order the evacuation of the upper area of Arayafrom Cruz del Camino to Los Brezos.
This eviction is in addition to the evacuation that took place on the afternoon of this Wednesday of upper part of the area of Igueste de Candelariaon the margins of the Camino de La Cuestita, from the confluence with the roads La Morita and Partes Caminos.
This has been reported by the Government of the Canary Islands, which adds that people who need shelter should go to the Punta Larga pavilion (Rambla de los Menceyes) in the municipality of Candelaria.
In addition, this morning we proceeded to the evacuation of the nuclei located above kilometer 3 of the TF-523 and a dozen homes in Las Lagunetas, and during the night the scattered Arrate, Chivisaya, Media Montaña and Ajafona.
A shelter has been set up for these displaced persons at the Andrés Orozco School in Arafo, although most of the people have relocated to relatives’ homes.
