A man has died this Tuesday after being rescued from the sea on Fañabé beach, in Adeje (Tenerife), 112 sources reported.
It was the occupants of a recreational boat who took the affected person out of the water and after verifying that he was in cardiorespiratory arrest, they began to practice resuscitation maneuvers.
Rescuers from the GES helicopter accessed the affected person and hoisted him onto the device to evacuate him to the Ajede Volunteer Firefighters helipad while they provided assistance.
Once on land, personnel from the Canary Islands Emergency Service and from the health center in the area verified that the affected person remained in cardiorespiratory arrest and continued to perform advanced resuscitation maneuvers without obtaining results, confirming his death.
Personnel from the beach rescue service and the Adeje Local Police intervened in the rescue unit deployed in the area.
Firefighters ensured the landing and takeoff maneuvers of the helicopter on the helipad.
