SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Aug. 14 (EUROPA PRESS) –
Rescue personnel have deployed on Monday afternoon a search device for a man who has disappeared while bathing on the coast of Los Gigantes, in the municipality of Santiago del Teide, as reported by the Emergency and Security Coordination Center of the 112 from the Canary Islands.
The events occurred around 2:43 p.m. this Monday, at which time it was reported that two people were in trouble at sea, in the vicinity of the Los Gigantes natural pool, rescuing lifeguards from the Beach Rescue Service from the municipality to one of the people who were in danger, a 23-year-old woman.
The young woman was treated on land by personnel from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) who, at the initial moment of assistance, presented an anxiety crisis, for which she was transferred by sanitary ambulance from the SUC to the Hospiten Sur University Hospital.
The device activated to locate the second person affected, a man, is made up of the rescue helicopter of the Emergency and Rescue Group of the Government of the Canary Islands (GES) and the Maritime Rescue Helimer, as well as a salvamar boat also from Rescue, in addition to of an ambulance of the SUC, as well as the Civil Guard and Local Police.
