A search device has been deployed on the coast of Los Gigantes, in Tenerife, after the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Government of the Canary Islands received an alert around 2:45 p.m. that it was reported that two people were in trouble in the sea in the vicinity of the natural pool located in this area.
A woman was rescued by lifeguards from the Santiago del Teide Beach Rescue Service and taken to the coast, while the other person, a man, could not be located. The woman presented an anxiety crisis after being rescued, for which she was transferred by sanitary ambulance from the SUC to the Hospiten Sur University Hospital.
A rescue helicopter from the Emergency and Rescue Group of the Government of the Canary Islands (GES), a Helimer helicopter and a Salvamar boat from Maritime Rescue, a sanitary ambulance from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC), Civil Guard and Local Police are in these moments in the area.
