The strong waves that hit the coast of Tenerife provoked moments of tension this Saturday afternoon in Radazul. Despite the fact that even the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) maintains the yellow warning for coastal phenomena on the Island, the people of Tenerife have tried to flee the heat wave on the beach.
Even Radazul moved a significant number of bathers who enjoyed the day until the sea began to beat strongly and generated moments of tension. Some bathers had trouble getting out of the water and one of them was even dragged by the wave when he tried to get out of the jetty.
According to sources from the El Rosario City Council, the red flag shines on its beaches but users do not always pay attention to the indications on these signs and venture into the water.
What’s more, in Radazul’s own images it is observed how some even take advantage of the waves to play and perform some acrobatics. In another of the beaches of the municipality, in La Nea, the situation was similar and in fact the Local Police was forced to tour the sand to persuade the bathers of getting into the water.
In another of the preferred bathing areas in the municipality, in Tabaiba, the waves also came to put bathers in trouble.
other beaches
The situation at sea has caused the closure of beaches in other towns in Tenerife. Arona keeps the red flag all along its coast and the yellow only waves in one part of Las Vistas and another in Los Cristianos.
Also in La Tejita, in Granadilla, the sea is beating strongly on the coast, so the City Council has decreed a ban on bathing.
