The Asturian Lucía Martiño returns to the south of Tenerife to offer a surf camp for a group of only 12 grown girlswhich over 4 days will be able to enjoy a program around surfing and healthy living using as a base camp the facilities of the Hotel Bitacorain Las Americas beach.

Surfing continues to gain followers around the world, strongly highlighting the increase in girls and women who are becoming fond of a sport in which balance and strength come together in contact with the sea, taking advantage of what nature offers to enjoy of a sensation that hooks the one who tries it. Thus, in recent years, more and more travelers are traveling around the world looking for the best waves to experience unforgettable moments around one of the most inspirational sports we have today.

The Canary Islands is, between October and March, one of the star destinations to practice it. With an unbeatable climate and guaranteed waves in the fall and winter months, receives every year thousands of surfers, professionals and amateurs, who visit the islands to enjoy their waves, while discovering a unique landscape. Its gastronomy, its environment and its services are adapted to the needs of those who move to one of its islands, where they will find everything from schools to learn and train to technicians and physical trainers to take experts to the top.

Playa de Las Américas, in the south of Tenerife, is one of these destinations, as the Asturian surfer Lucía Martiño knows –2 times champion of Spain and a phenomenon in social networks-, who travels to the island several times every year to train because of the quality of the waves, the water temperature and the good atmosphere he finds on the beach. Last fall she made the decision to host her first surf camp for women only, and such has been the success that this year she repeats, once again, choosing Hotel Bitácora as the base of operations for her camp. “El Bitácora is a surf friendly hotel, it has all the comforts a surfer needs and is a 2-minute walk from one of the best waves in Tenerife”explains Martino. “Last year we learned a lot with a fantastic group of girls, and we are very excited to repeat it next October.”

From October 4 to 8, 12 participants will be able to combine surf classes guided by Lucía Martiño, including video analysis of each of the training sessions to improve technique, mindful fitness workshops, spa sessions and the opportunity to surf behind closed doors at the artificial wave of Siam Park, the best water park in the world. All this using as a base the facilities of the Hotel Bitácora, where all the participants of this event will stay. Blog Women Surf Retreatand which has been chosen for its link with surfing and for the comforts it offers to all those who practice this sport, such as changing rooms with lockers to rinse and store boards and suits or direct access to the street a few meters from the internationally famous Left of the Americas.

Nuria del Amo, hotel manager and a fan of surfing, explains: “Last year we held the first surf camp and it was beautiful to see how this group of women enjoyed our hotel and the surf program led by Lucía Martiño, so we couldn’t settle for just one edition. This year I only ask that the atmosphere that was created last year be maintained and that Lucía continue to choose us as her trusted hotel. I have been a follower of her career for years and her lifestyle fits perfectly with our philosophy ”.
