This has been published by Provincial Traffic Headquarters that has established the closure of the roads that give access to the Teide National Park from different hours, with the aim of filtering the number of cars that access the natural space.
In this way, as published today in the Official Gazette of the Province, the execution of planning, control and management measures for circulation in access roads to the parking areas of the Teide National Park is authorized, in order to minimize
the condition of traffic and ensure the fluidity of circulation at the entrances and exits scheduled for the evening of August 11 to 12 and 12 to 13.
Cuts in the roads by the Perseids in the Teide
Specifically, from seven in the afternoon to three in the morning from August 11 to 12 and from August 12 to 13, it is planned to establish the cut off of the TF-24 highway, kilometer point 23+500, at the height of the Arafo crossing.
From 7:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m. on August 11 to 12 and 12 to 13, 2023, it is planned to establish the cutoff of the TF-21 highway, pk 16+500, at the height from the Aguamansa Caldera on the northern slope.
At the same time and dates, the TF-21 highway, pk 66+800, at the height of Vilaflor on the southern slope, will also be cut.
On the Chío ascent, the TF-38 highway will be cut from kilometer point 12+500.
For the implementation of these measures, the announcement states, you must have prior authorization from the road owner and the Natural Environment, Sustainability, Security and Emergencies Area of the Island Security and Emergencies Department of the Cabildo de Tenerife will be enabled, at your Installation at established locations and times.
