SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Aug. 9 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The substitute judge in the Violence Court No. 2 of Santa Cruz de Tenerife has issued an order for the entry into attenuated prison of the 92-year-old man who yesterday Tuesday murdered his partner, a 91-year-old woman, in the town of Valle de Guerra, in the municipality of La Laguna.
According to official sources from the Superior Court of Justice of the Canary Islands (TSJC), for reasons related to the age of this person, it has not been possible to take a statement and he will enter a special module of the prison. The investigative proceedings are still open.
The victim did not have minor sons or daughters and there were no previous complaints of gender violence against the alleged aggressor. With this latest murder, there are now 105 confirmed femicides due to gender violence in the Canary Islands since 2003.
