In order to guarantee the safety of residents and tourists, the Arico Town Hall has advised avoid bathing in coastal areas of the municipality where there is presence of microalgae. The statement comes after the appearance this Tuesday of large areas of what appear to be microalgae in different places of the coast Township.
The mayoress, Olivia Delgado, explained that the security services are monitoring the situation and have begun to take samples from various beaches in the municipality to analyze whether it is microalgae.
Delgado insists on avoiding bathing in the affected areas “until the concentration levels disappear.”
