The president of the Council of Tenerife, Rosa Davilamade an appeal to the population of Tenerife to take extreme precautions in the face of the episode of high temperatures that will affect the Island from this ThursdayAugust 10, and will last several days.
“On Thursday we will evaluate the situation to determine what measures are going to be taken, but until then we must appeal to the population to be very attentive to notifications and restrictive measures by the Cabildo that may derive from this episode of high temperatures and carefully follow all the recommendations of the administrations and the restrictions that may occur in terms of traffic on trails or highways,” said Rosa Dávila.
Before the episode of high temperatures, it is recommended to take extreme precautions, throughout the island territory, with any activity that may generate fires (tobacco, use of generators, electrical and pyrotechnic equipment, etc.) and be attentive to the information that is issued in the coming days by the Cabildo de Tenerife or by 1-1-2 Canary Islands
