The streets of the Pedro Álvarez neighborhood, located in Villa de Tegueste, hosted on Saturday the first pilgrimage walk of the area, which took place within the framework of the celebration of the Pedro Álvarez Fiestas, organized by the Fiestas Commission of the neighborhood in collaboration with the Teguestero City Council.
In the pilgrimage, led by the Dance of the Flowers, the Boat of Pedro Álvarez and some teams, more than 20 cars and several parrandas participated, such as the one from the neighborhood, Lava y Picón, Tercera Edad de Tegueste, Sandunga, Amigos de Guamasa and Ilusión Canaria, who set the pace last day. The councilor responsible for the Fiestas Area, Eladia López, highlighted “the great involvement of the residents of Pedro Álvarez for the festivities in honor of the Sacred Heart of Jesus”, as well as their great contribution to the customs and traditions of the town from Tegueste.
“Having this new pilgrimage walk is one more step in the desire to consolidate our tradition,” added the mayor.
