The Local Police of Santa Cruz de Tenerife informed before 1:00 p.m. of the closure to traffic of the La Salle Avenue for possible gas leak at a restaurant in the area.
Both pedestrians and vehicles were prohibited from entering the enclosed area to guarantee the safety of citizens and avoid any potential risk.
Traffic, which had been closed in the section between Avenida Tres de Mayo and Avenida San Sebastián, has been reopened to traffic.
The authorities quickly to the place to take the appropriate measures. Firefighters and Urban Planning technicians from the capital’s City Council also went to the place.
An inspection of the affected premises and its gas facilities will be carried out.
