Dozens of residents of La Caleta de Adeje celebrated yesterday one of the most outstanding days of the festivities in honor of Our Lady the Virgen del Carmen, with the boat of the image of the patron saint of sailors, all in the so-called ” Caletero Day”.

All of this before the concert by the group La Chalana began at around 9:00 p.m. and, at 11:00 p.m., the end of the party with dancing enlivened by Grupo Relieve at the fairgrounds.

The La Caleta festivities take place between July 31 and August 6 and are organized by the La Caleta 2023 Fiestas Commission, with the support of the Adeje Town Hall.

During these days the presentation gala of local representatives has taken place, with performances by different musical and choreographic groups; youth party with the performance of different “dj”; the boathouse pilgrimage last Friday, with offerings to the Virgin that gave way to the performance of different orchestras.

On Saturday, August 5, Children’s activities were carried out by Animation and Fantasy Events, at the fairgrounds, with bouncy castles, a foam party and a children’s show with Chispita and Blue.

In the afternoon, the solemn Eucharist took place in honor of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, patron saint of fishermen, which was officiated by the parish priest Agalac Alonso Severio and sung by the group Amigos de La Caleta, all in the hermitage of the Virgin.
