The streets of the neighborhood Pedro Alvarezlocated in the Villa de Teguestehosted the first pilgrimage walk in the area on August 5, which took place as part of the celebration of the Festivities of Pedro Álvarezorganized by the Neighborhood Fiestas Commission in collaboration with the City hall.
In the pilgrimage walk, headed by the Dance of the Flowers, the Pedro Álvarez Boat and some teams, more than 20 cars and several parrandas participated such as the one from the neighborhood, Lava y Picón, Tercera Edad de Tegueste, Sandunga, Amigos de Guamasa and Ilusión Canaria, who set the pace last day.
The Councilor for Fiestas, Eladia López, emphasized “the great involvement of the residents of Pedro Álvarez for the festivities in honor of the Sacred Heart of Jesus”, as well as their great contribution to the customs and traditions of the people of Tegueste. “Having this new pilgrimage walk is one more step in the desire to consolidate our tradition and take care of what is ours,” she adds.

The tour departed at 5:00 p.m. from the old bar ‘Un, Dos, Tres’ and toured the streets of the neighborhood until it reached the church of Pedro Álvarez.
Specifically, the participating cars were: Peña El Burro, La Costa, Los Luchadores, La Joaquina, Los Arritrancos, El Chaso, Los Sevillanos, El Llano, Cocó, El Papa, El Ganchillo, La Tunera, Guatatiboa, La Capital, La Peña, Faicán, La Ruta, Los Pachitos, La Pingada, Los Empanados and Los Ratones.
