The Cabildo contributes 26 million euros this year to Candelaria to finance important projects for both the social and economic development of the municipality. This is how its president reminded him, Rosa Davila, during the meeting he had with the mayoress of Villa Mariana, Mari Brito. In it, they reviewed the initiatives “that are fundamental for the Island and for Candelaria.”
Among the projects to be financed by the Island Corporation, Dávila Mamely referred to “two of extreme importance” related to people’s well-being, alluding to the construction of a socio-sanitary center and social housing. In addition, the Cabildo contributes to actions to recover the coast and open commercial areas, the municipal swimming pool, the auditorium and the improvement of the basilica square.
The mayoress, Mari Brito, thanked “the willingness of the president to continue working and trying to keep the municipality growing and advancing hand in hand with the Island.” She stressed that “this Cabildo is committed to Candelaria, I have observed it today (yesterday) and I have been able to verify it. I hope that future meetings and work meetings bear fruit and that we have the investments for which the municipality has been waiting for a long time.
For his part, the counselor EmploymentEfraín Medina, highlighted the insular nature of the projects to which the Cabildo is committed given the importance of Villa Mariana and the thousands of people who visit it every year.
Rosa Dávila showed her full support and commitment to the projects that will be developed in Candelaria with the participation of the Cabildo, something that she conveyed in the first meeting held in the Insular Palace with the councilor Mari Brito, a meeting that was also attended by the insular employment counselor, the candelarier Efraín Medina.
