The Cabildo de Tenerife has finalized this Thursday the restriction on making fires in recreational areas due to the improvement in weather conditions and the end of the fire alert decreed by the Government of the Canary Islands, they have reported in a press release.
The Minister of the Natural Environment, Blanca Pérez, has indicated that despite the fact that the weather conditions have improved, precautions must continue to be taken in activities that can cause a fire.
Through a press release, the insular institution has informed that it will maintain in force the regime of ordinary uses of the mountains and protected natural spaces provided for in the laws and regulations, especially those that regulate the preventive measures of forest fires, as well as the plans and regulations of protected natural spaces.
Pérez also recalled that agricultural burning will be paralyzed until October 15 in order to avoid the risk of forest fire.
