SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, July 30 (EUROPA PRESS) –
Endesa, the electricity supplier company in La Gomera, has incorporated 28 generator sets to replace the supply on the island as soon as possible after the energy zero that has been registered since 03:00 a.m., with 23 of them transferred from other islands of the archipelago, as reported the Council.
The Island Corporation has specified that two of the ten groups that make up the El Palmar Power Plant can be restored by Endesa technicians and, if no unforeseen events arise, they will be able to start operating during the evening of today. With its reactivation, 6 MW of the 9 MW needed to meet demand would be restored.
Endesa asks citizens to make a minimum consumption as they recover electricity in their homes and businesses in the first 24 hours in order to more quickly achieve full recovery of the supply. The situation has meant that more than 15,000 network users – the entire island – do not have electricity service.
