SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, July 24 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The insular general secretary of the Canary Islands Coalition of Tenerife, Francisco Linares, has highlighted the importance of the presence once again of this political formation in the Congress of Deputies with Cristina Valido at the head of the nationalists in Madrid.
For Francisco Linares, that Valido is present in Congress is “a guarantee that the problems of the Canary Islands will continue to be heard in Madrid, with a strong, independent and Canarian voice that defends the interests of our land”
Linares described the results obtained in Tenerife as a “success”, where a total of 67,803 people voted for the nationalists, which is 2.6% more than in the November 2019 general elections, which translates into 1,708 more votes.
The insular secretary general sees a success in these results in “highly polarized elections, surely the most bipartisan in history and where the Canary Islands Coalition has maintained its strength and will continue to be present in Madrid to defend the interests of the Canary Islands.”
Linares thanked the support of the almost 68,000 votes in Tenerife, as well as the more than 81,000 throughout the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife and the more than 114,000 throughout the Canary Islands.
For the general secretary, “Cristina Valido has proven to be a great candidate who combines experience, a great capacity for work and solvency in management. She is, without a doubt, a brave and fighting woman who will defend and fight for the interests of this land in Madrid”.
