SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, July 23 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The number two candidate of the Popular Party to the Congress of Deputies for the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Asier Antona, has appealed to the inhabitants of La Palma to turn out en masse to exercise their right to vote on this Sunday, General Election Day.
“It is time for palm trees to come to massively exercise their right to vote. I appeal to people to participate in this election day because it is very important for the island of La Palma, for the Canary Islands and for all of Spain”, Asier Antona said after going to vote.
The popular candidate was convinced that today is going to be a “quiet” day and he hopes that at the end of the day the people will have come “massively” to cast their votes at the polls. In this sense, the Canary Islands today have more than a thousand polling stations where close to 1.8 million people can vote.
For his part, the PP candidate for the Senate for La Palma, Borja Pérez, stressed that we are facing the “most important elections in the history of our country, in which a lot is decided, much more than what people think, about the future of La Palma, the Canary Islands and Spain”.
With which, he encouraged citizens to see the proposals that have been made by the different parties, study them and go to vote, and he hopes that tonight, once the results are known, the country “will be dyed blue due to the work and management of the Popular Party”.
