SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, July 21 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The general secretary of the PSOE Canarias, Ángel Víctor Torres, has expressed his optimism regarding the prospects of the Socialist Party for the elections that they will have this Sunday, especially after a few days that are signifying a “true comeback” of the PSOE against the leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, who “has hidden”.
In statements to the media after a meeting of the Regional Executive Commission, Ángel Víctor Torres affirmed that the Socialist Party aspires to win the elections “clearly” in the Canary Islands, while he regretted not having been able to see Alberto Núñez Feijóo in the last electoral debate, in which, in his opinion, it was “very clear” that there are two models in our country.
Thus, the leader of the Canarian socialists pointed out that in the face of the PP and VOX model, the PSOE is the only party that defends a more dignified minimum wage, the minimum vital income, the policy of scholarships for those who need it most and have the least economic resources, that fights against sexist violence “without doubts or hesitations” or the one that defends the state of autonomies.
“That is done by the Socialist Party from the Government and from the institutions, not the Popular Party, which wants to govern alongside the extreme right,” said Torres, who asked for the vote for the PSOE “to advance as we have done in these five years in a much more integrated Spain, more peaceful coexistence between the territories and with greater social justice, without a doubt, because there are many more people working than unemployed.”
