A canoe with 52 migrants on board has arrived this Saturday at the port of Los Cristianos, in the south of Tenerife, where they have received assistance from the health services, which have transferred eight of its occupants to different hospitals, one of them in serious condition.

As reported by the Emergency and Security Coordination Center 112, the cayuco was intercepted by a Maritime Rescue vessel, which took it to the aforementioned port in the south of the island.
The Red Cross had previously reported that the vessel was located about 2 miles from Punta Rasca, where Salvamento Marítimo headed.
The sanitary device installed on the Los Cristianos pier provided the first assistance to the occupants of the cayuco, one of whom has been hospitalized in serious condition.
