SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, July 19 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The City Council of La Laguna will be part of the I National Congress of Brotherhoods and Brotherhood of Holy Week and World Heritage Cities, which will be held at the Cultural Center of the Hospital de Santiago de Úbeda, between October 27 and 29 of this year .
The mayor of La Laguna and president of the Group of World Heritage Cities of Spain (GCPHE), Luis Yeray Gutiérrez, stressed that this event will serve to exchange experiences between the participating towns and design joint strategies for the tourism promotion of this festivity. “During the celebration of this Congress, we also want to expose the work behind Holy Week in La Laguna, both by the administration and by the brotherhoods and brotherhoods,” he added.
The event, in addition to including talks, presentations and debate tables, will also offer a photographic exhibition so that attendees can get a better idea of what these weeks of passion, culture and devotion mean.
This Congress is organized by the Group of World Heritage Cities of Spain (GCPHE), with the collaboration of the Ministry of Culture and, more specifically, the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage and Fine Arts.
The Group of World Heritage Cities of Spain is a non-profit association, created in 1993, whose objective is the joint defense and cultural and tourist promotion of the heritage of the 15 cities that comprise it, whose historic quarters have been recognized by UNESCO as World Heritage.
