The National Police has reinforced its workforce in the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife with the incorporation of 62 police officers in Basic Scale practices. These agents will carry out their internship period for one year in the different police stations of the islands.
Specifically, 24 agents will be in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, 12 in Adeje, 10 in Puerto de la Cruz-Los Realejos, eight in La Laguna and eight in Santa Cruz de la Palma.
The acts of incorporation have been chaired by the Subdelegate of the Government in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Jesús Javier Plata Vera, and the Principal Commissioner, Provincial Chief, Luis Felipe San Martín Fernández-Marcote.
The national police officers belonging to the XXXVIII Basic Scale promotion will serve for 12 months in the different police units after completing the theoretical training period, where they acquired knowledge in matters such as criminal and procedural law, investigation, scientific police, languages, personal defense or police shot.
They will serve in provincial, local and district police stations, integrating with the rest of the national police assigned to the different units, carrying out with them the work that is usually carried out by judicial police groups, citizen security, complaints offices, information, foreigners and scientific police.
The police force indicates that these 62 trainee agents represent a “considerable reinforcement” in all the police stations in the province of Tenerife, both for the development of Operation Summer and for the safety of the Canarian population.
