With the end of the school year and the activation of the summer vacation period, it is time to launch the network of cleaning and improvement actions in the different centers publicly owned educational institutions in Tacoronte. The local government group is already working on planning these actions, which will be undertaken in the coming weeks in response to requests from the directorates of schools and institutes.
To obtain more fluid and effective coordination, the mayoress of Tacoronte, Sandra Izquierdonext to the councilors for Works and Services and Education, José Caro and Raquel Torres respectively, they have been developing a series of visits and meetings with representatives of all the existing educational spaces in the city: CEIP María Rosa Alonso, CEIP Maximiliano Gil, CEIP Ernesto Castro Fariñas, CEIP San Juan Perales, CEIP Emeterio Gutiérrez Albelo, CEIP Guayonge, Óscar Domínguez IES, Barranco Las Lajas IES, Los Naranjeros IES and CEPA Acentejo-Tacoronte.
The meetings have served to publicize the new organization chart of the Tacorontero City Council, as well as to gather opinions, concerns and proposals for improvement for all the centers, which allow the 2023/2024 course to be activated with the maximum security guarantees, and the best image for the different resources and school units.
In this first round of contact, the demands that are repeated the most revolve around the general painting of classrooms and common areas, elimination of humidity, rehabilitation of gardens, replacement of railings and security elements, improvement of signage and redistribution of spaces. to get a better use of them. The directives have also requested a more fluid and efficient communication with the City Council, as well as local support to guarantee, through the regional government, the materialization of bets of greater depth that allow, for example, the roofing of accesses and open sports spaces or a new process of digitalization of the classrooms, with the acquisition of computer equipment.
