The defendant, who has been in prison since the events occurred, must also remain eight years 300 meters away from the victim after he is released from prison and assume the costs of the trial for being responsible for an aggravated injury crime.
The facts took place around half past one in the morning on February 27, 2022, when an argument began between the two in a bar for work reasons, so that already outside the premises the defendant pounced on the victim, punching him in the head. expensive.
But the most serious thing happened when he bit and bit off his left ear, while repeatedly thrusting a screwdriver into his back.
At the moment when the wife of the victim tried to mediate the fight, the convicted man punched her in the face so that the woman was unconscious.
As a consequence, the victim suffered the amputation of three quarters of the left auricular pavilion, keeping only the lobe and a wound of one and a half centimeters in length between the ear and the nose and 14 injuries to the back, one of them of 30 centimeters long, located mainly on the left side.
For the healing The man required medical and surgical treatment after the first assistance, but there is no possibility of repairing the aesthetic damage to the ear and, in fact, psychological therapy is necessary.
In total, the loss of quality of life is moderate, it is situated in three months and an aesthetic damage persists that is described as “important”.
For his part, the woman suffered three-centimeter swelling and bruising on her right wrist, damage to her left cheek and in the nose that did not require medical treatment and a basic personal injury of seven days.
The Prosecutor’s Office initially requested ten years in prison and a restraining order of 300 meters for 12 years for the man and in the case of the woman a three-month fine with a daily fee of eight euros that was reduced by half to a total of 360 euros. .
In principle the Public ministry He also requested compensation for the man of 65,000 euros and 280 for his wife for the injuries and sequelae suffered.
Since a conformity agreement was reached, finally the trial was not held in which the assaulted man, his wife, civil guards and an expert witness were going to intervene as witnesses.
