He forest fire originated on Saturday in the tenerife islandunder the Chivisaya viewpoint, in a border area between Candelaria and Arafo, has already been controlled. This was announced by the president of the Tenerife Cabildo, Rosa Dávila, through her social networks.
Once the fire has already been controlled, the Los Loros highway (TF-523) in Arafo has been reopened, thus allowing access for residents.
The fire has affected 30 hectares of scrubland, scrub and pasture in the municipalities of Arafo and Candelaria.
Rosa Dávila thanked the work of all the people and entities that have participated in the work of extinction of the fireas well as the collaboration of the municipalities of Arafo, Candelaria and Güímar.
Dávila has asked the population to take extreme precautions in activities that could cause a fire.

Work with machinery or tools is prohibited, as well as the use of elements that can generate sparks in agricultural or forest areas, such as brushcutters and welding equipment.
Forest harvesting, hunting activity throughout the island, the circulation of motor vehicles on the network of forest tracks for recreational purposes, or sporting events and pilgrimages on tracks and forest trails and off-road are not allowed.
