SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, July 12 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The candidate proposed by the regional Chamber to preside over the Government of the Canary Islands, Fernando Clavijo (CC), has thanked the support and generosity of the four groups that will support the new Executive: “They have put the general interest of the citizenship, commitment and a government program that aims to put the citizen at the center of the system.
Fernando Clavijo congratulated the spokesman for the Mixed Group, Raúl Acosta (AHI), for his description of the difficulties experienced by the people of El Hierro: “El Hierro will be, together with La Gomera and La Palma, one of the main objectives of this government that we are going to face -with that triple insularity- with rigor, firmness and always treating those who are different in a different way”.
The leader of the Gomera Socialist Association (ASG), Casimiro Curbelo, thanked his “exercise of coherence”, which means “putting people above agreements and support for parties, and that the Canary Islands can be served by serving La Gomera and each and every one of the islands”.
He wanted to thank Manuel Domínguez, president of the PP of the Canary Islands, not only for the tone, but also for his words. He recalled that both have had to deal with very complex scenarios and stressed that both parties have always respected each other. “This is what relationships are based on and, above all, respect for people and political formations,” said Clavijo.
