SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, July 12 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The president of the PP of the Canary Islands and future vice president of the Government, Manuel Domínguez, has defended this Wednesday the “stability” of the CC-PP-ASG-AHI pact, supported by 38 deputies in Parliament, and that there will be a “single Government” in the islands and therefore a “single plan to govern”.
In statements to journalists after the inauguration of Clavijo as president, he stressed the “loyalty” of his formation to the new Executive because he believes “in the word given and the hand shaken”, something to which he gives “more value” than to any document because the “future of the canaries” is at stake, and he has insisted that they are not going to “let down” society.
Domínguez has admitted that he has “responsibility and some vertigo” but he comes to office to “give everything” and “work like a wild boar” as he maintains his “commitment” to meet the demands of the canaries “wherever they live.”
He has also thanked the “full disposition” of the advisers of the previous government to make a “simple transfer of powers”, something that is “to be appreciated” because sometimes this is not the case when some politicians leave their positions.
The future vice-president has made no secret of the fact that a “complex situation” is looming due to what is beginning to be glimpsed in Europe, with “accentuated uncertainty”, emphasizing that the legislature “is not going to be easy” although “nobody said” that how serious.
Regarding the tax cut, he has criticized the fact that they want to misinterpret him and has once again defended that there will be a “living, dynamic and adaptable tax relief plan”, and not only around the IGIC but also with the entire tax structure of the autonomous community. “When we have done the analysis, the plan will become a reality,” he explained.
Domínguez has also said that the Government of Pedro Sánchez “has not been loyal” nor with his own Canarian government chaired by the PSOE since he lied about free transport or the 60% discount on personal income tax in La Palma.
He has also said that he has refused to let the most voted formation govern, as “he demonstrated face to face” with Feijóo in which he did not want to sign that commitment, a debate in which it was also made clear that “he knows he is going to lose and He’s not a trustworthy man.”
For this reason, he understands that “it will be good for the Canary Islands” that Feijóo is the next president of Spain and in this sense he has called on citizens to participate in the elections and make the “important decision” of whether “he will govern alone or need partners” .
