The Governing Board, in an extraordinary call, yesterday approved a budgetary modification worth just over nine million euros.
The main objective of this injection of money, coming from the remaining treasury, is the payment of pending operations that may be delayed until the following year and for which there is no budget allocation or it is insufficient in the different municipal administrative services, as well as providing of the necessary financing to the Municipal Institute of Social Attention (IMAS) and the Autonomous Organization of Culture so that they attend to their own operations pending application to the budget.
In this way, the remaining treasury, which amounted to 17.7 million euros at the end of 2022, will be reduced by 9.7 million, leaving 1.8 still available for use, since at least three must be retained , according to indications of the General Intervention.
The bulk of the 9.7 million are distributed for basic public services, where 3.2 million go, another three go to the production of public goods of a preferential nature, and two more to cover the obligations of general actions.
The file will now be submitted to public information during a period of 15 business days, prior announcement in the Official Gazette of the Province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, so that the interested parties can present the allegations they deem appropriate. If no allegation is presented, the budget modification file will be considered definitively approved.
