The City Council of Icod de los Vinos has spoken on Facebook about the recent rock falls that have taken place on the slope of the San Marco beach. From the Consistory they explain that “as happened last Friday, some sizable rocks They have rushed from the slope to the beach, still without establishing the causes of these movements“.
Mayor javier sierra george traveled to the area together with the municipal technicians to make an assessment of the facts for which, fortunately, there were no personal or material damages.
As a security measure, access to the site of the landslides has been sealed until the municipal technicians and the Cabildo de Tenerife rule on the measures to be taken, explains the City Council.
“In the afternoon today (yesterday for the reader) I have been in contact with the Councilor for Natural Environment and Security of the Cabildo de Tenerife Cabildo de Tenerife, Blanca Pérez, and I have explained to her the problems that have occurred this week and the recent landslides Sierra said.
