The woman and man arrested last Thursday night for the violent death of a man in the Costa del Silencio area, in Arona, have already entered provisional detention as alleged perpetrators of a crime of homicide. The defendant, DEVM, and the other implicated, EHR, both 33 years old and of Spanish nationality, were made available to Arona Investigating Court number 4 yesterday morning.
Around 11:30 p.m. Thursdayseveral calls entered the communications room of the Arona Local Police. One warned about the suicide attempt of a woman in Costa del Silencio. This last person had ingested a significant number of pills and did not react, according to a witness who was next to her. They only had the name of a street, Roque de Vento, but no number. And that’s where a radio patrol vehicle went.
Once on the aforementioned road, the agents did not know at which specific address the attempted autolysis occurred. And one of the officials decided to try to see if it happened at the house of a woman who practices prostitution and with whom they had intervened on some other occasion. They noticed that the door was ajar. The policemen shouted: “Hello?!!”. But nobody responded. And they decided to follow their action cautiously. Looking through a window and through the curtains, they observed that a man was lying face up on the ground with traces of what appeared to be blood. Something didn’t add up. He was not a woman, nor did he give the impression that he had only taken pills to kill himself.
Given this circumstance, the local police officers drew their weapons and took all possible security measures in case there was anyone else in the property. Seconds later, they found that there was a woman and a man, who had blood stains on their hands and clothes. When the officials asked her what had happened, the resident replied that she had stabbed the man who was on the ground.
She explained that, on a previous occasion, she had hired his sexual services, but that the man behaved excessively violently and even inserted a stick into her private parts. That is the version that he related to the officials. However, there are no complaints or medical reports that confirm that this really happened.
They were going to wrap the corpse
In principle, everything indicates that the victim and the two defendants were in the house and knew each other. And, compared to what transpired at first, the security forces did not find the door of the home forced. Between the woman and the man now accused, they allegedly gave the affected person about ten stab wounds, some in the neck and side. Given this evidence, the municipal agents proceeded to arrest both of them.
The two bladed weapons with which the fatal attack was carried out were found in the aforementioned property. When the agents arrived at the scene of the violent death, both defendants were trying to wrap the body in plastic, supposedly with the intention of removing it from the house and making it disappear. The victim of the homicide is a neighbor of El Fraile, who was identified as Eloy, 48 years old.
