SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, July 9 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The sixth and final installment of the ‘Santa Cruz debate’ cycle will be held this Wednesday, July 12 at 7:00 p.m., dealing with the theme ‘An island, a volcano’. The activity promoted by the Association of Journalists of Santa Cruz de Tenerife (APT) will take place in the Space for Journalism and Communication, at the APT headquarters, on Calle San Francisco in the capital of Tenerife.
On this occasion, Roberto González, a journalist from Televisión Canaria and presenter of the program ‘Atlántico Noticias’, will be the moderator. They will attend Montserrat Román, head of service of the General Directorate of Security and Emergencies of the Government of the Canary Islands; Stavros Meletlidis, volcanologist from the National Geographic Institute of Spain-Geophysical Center of the Canary Islands; Reinaldo Estévez, Corporal Major and Head of Institutional Relations and Public Communication of the UME (Military Emergency Unit) in the Canary Islands; and Nemesio Pérez, scientific coordinator of the Volcanological Institute of the Canary Islands (Involcán).
‘Santa Cruz debate’ is part of a program of professional and socio-cultural activities that seeks to strengthen the presence of the APT and expand the benefits it offers to its members and to Canarian society. Each meeting is one hour long. With free access until full capacity is reached, each installment can also be followed on a delayed basis through the APT’s social networks.
