SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, July 8 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Cabildo de La Gomera, in collaboration with the Government of the Canary Islands, continues with the planning of commercial revitalization activities in the municipalities of San Sebastián and Valle Gran Rey after the celebration of the first stop on the Commercial Route in Alajeró on the 1st of July.
In this way, the Island Institution continues this action that aims to encourage local commerce and promote the sector under the motto ‘Enjoy shopping in La Gomera’, with the development of a program that includes recreational, cultural and gastronomic activities.
It is thus a space for collaboration with the Delegation of the Chamber of Commerce, the Open Commercial Zones of the island, the Association of Entrepreneurs, Merchants and Professionals of La Gomera (AEG), the Insular Association of La Gomera (AIEG) and all the municipalities of the island.
The president of the Cabildo, Casimiro Curbelo, wanted to recall that this initiative allows consumers – residents and tourists – and merchants to offer a day full of revitalizing activities for all ages, with gastronomic and craft spaces that include tastings and samples of local products , in addition to raffles.
“With this type of actions we managed to strengthen and consolidate the commercial sector of the island, a strategic area for socioeconomic development and employment in La Gomera,” said Curbelo.
On Friday, July 21, from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., the San Sebastián Open Commercial Zone will be the scene of several gastronomic tasting stands and a fashion show that will bring together about twenty shops in order to show the public the latest summer campaign trends, accompanied by music.
On Saturday, July 22, the activities will continue simultaneously in different areas of the town. They will begin in the Plaza de las Américas with a sports tournament for the little ones from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., as well as with the installation of mats at the back of the Kiosko Ramón, starting at 11:00 a.m.
At the same time, until 1:00 p.m., the Plaza de Iglesia will host a series of workshops and creation spaces that will show the public the richness of the island’s artisan fabric, as well as a food stand as a central information point for the event, as well as a validation of tickets to buy in the local business, which will be located in the Plaza de San Sebastián.
Thus, the client will be offered, in collaboration with the CRDO de Vinos de La Gomera, a glass of the different wines of the island to try, completely free of charge, while they will be able to enjoy musical performances for all audiences in the Plaza de The Constitution, between 12:00 and 14:00.
Already in the afternoon, from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., tents will be set up in the Plaza de la Iglesia and in Calle Real so that the attending public can enjoy the local gastronomy and musical performances, in order to celebrate, in parallel, the commercial event of ‘La Noche Mágica’, an action in which businesses will take advantage of exceptional business closing hours, remaining open until 9:00 p.m., and where customers will be able to opt for special promotions.
Fashion, accessories, lingerie, sports equipment, footwear, kitchenware and decoration, home, perfumery, jewelry, children’s fashion and furniture stores will participate in the ‘Magical Night’, with the aim of boosting sales of small businesses while the season begins Of summer. In addition, there will be a photocall, in which each of the clients will be able to take a printed image of the moment.
Several bars with special promotions will also be added, although the bulk of the scheduled activities comes from small spaces or commercial establishments such as bookstores, art galleries, route organizers, music, photographic and craft exhibitions, educational activities and games for the little ones, and dance performances.
The program ends on July 29, moving to the municipality of Valle Gran Rey, specifically to the Lomo Rego square in Valle Gran Rey, where, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., commercial stalls will be set up, as well as musical performances, children’s workshops, gastronomic tastings, and a fashion show.
