The plenary session of the City Council Acentejo’s Victory has ratified the decree that establishes the organization and distribution of powers of the new government group, which is chaired by the mayor, Juan Antonio Garcia (PSOE)who personally assumes the areas of Urban Planning, Ecological Transition, Agency for Local Development and Management of European Funds. After revalidating a second absolute majority, thus began the journey of a team that, for the term 2023-2027has nine members and incorporates two new faces: Juan Corona Martin and Kevin Moscoso.
The socialist leader Juan Antonio Garcia Abreu details that “a distribution of areas has been carried out that seeks to optimize the work in each of the municipal departments. We have a team that brings the experience of the previous mandate, in addition to adding two new incorporations. All of this has led to changes and restructuring to adjust the powers as much as possible. to the professional profiles of our councilors in order to achieve greater efficiency in management.
The distribution of responsibilities and delegations among the councilors is headed by Jose Daniel Izquierdo Barrosowho, in addition to being the first deputy mayor, will be in charge of Economy and Finance, Municipal Services (which includes water, public lighting, street cleaning and public buildings), Environment, Accessibility and Mobility, Parks and Gardens, Cemetery, Technological Innovation, Animal Welfare and Industry.
The second deputy mayor will be Yurena Gutierrez Gonzalezwho will manage the areas of Culture, Festivals, Youth, and Citizen Participation. Stephanie Fernandez Santos He will assume the third tenure of mayoralty and will be in charge of Employment, Human Resources, Internal Regime, Education, Institutional Relations, Training and Tourism. Sonia Gutierrez Hernandez will assume Social Welfare, Coordination of the Day Center for the Elderly, Center for Psychosocial Rehabilitation, Unit for Gender Violence, Equality and Drug Addiction. For his part, Juan Ramon Afonso Gutierrez will lead the areas of Agriculture, Security, Traffic and Civil Protection, while Kevin Moscoso Hernandez will manage Sports and Historical Heritage, and Almudena Afonso Hernández will be in charge of Senior Citizens, Health, Commerce and Consumption.
Of the nine councilors that make up the local Executive, three will be released full-time: the mayor, Juan Antonio Garcia; Daniel Izquierdo Barroso, and Yurena Gutiérrez González. Four will have a partial dedication: two at 75% of the day, which are Estefanía Fernández Santos and Sonia Gutiérrez Hernándezand two at 40%, which will be Kevin Moscoso Hernandez and Almudena Afonso Hernandez.
