CC and PP form a “solid, stable, prepared and unitary” insular government

An insular government “solid, stable, prepared and above all, unitary” despite being made up of two political forces, Canarian Coalition and the Popular Party. This is how the new executive of the Cabildo de Tenerife headed by the brand new president, Rosa Davila. Yesterday the areas of responsibility were distributed to confirm in practice the programmatic agreement that Dávila and popular leader Lope Afonso formalized on June 5, the so-called Hotel School Pact, due to the place where it was conceived.

A decree sealed the new organizational structure for the next four years of the 2023-2027 mandate. The insular Corporation is distributed in eleven areas. The nationalists will manage six of the departments. The one reserved for the President includes the Treasury that Dávila will manage directly. The Popular Party will assume the other five large areas.

Rosa Dávila will have Lope Afonso (PP) as first vice president, while José Miguel Ruano (CC) and José Carlos Acha (PP) will be second and third, respectively

President’s area.

  • Includes Equality and Diversity, Finance and Strategic Projectss. Rosa Davila Mameland (S/C de Tenerife, 1970) reserves the Treasury, a responsibility that he already developed in 2015 in the Government of the Canary Islands. Strategic Projects is an express request of the Popular Party.

Tourism and Foreign Action.

  • lope afonso (Puerto de la Cruz, 1977), leader of the popular in the Cabildo de Tenerife, will occupy this responsibility that includes Institutional Relations, in addition to the first vice presidency. He was mayor of his hometown from 2015-2019.

Presidency.

  • It also covers Administration and public service, Territorial Planning and Historical Heritage. Jose Miguel Ruano Lion (Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, 1961) will have a task of special relevance after Rosa Dávila recovered it for politics after her retirement in 2019. María Candelaria Padrón will have a delegation in Citizen Attention and Quality of Services.

Social action.

  • It also covers Inclusion and Volunteering. In front will be the popular Agueda Fumero (Cape Blanco, Arona, 1973). Senior Technician in Administration and Finance. Councilor in her municipality, counselor in the Government of Canary Islandsnational deputy and councilor of the Cabildo.

Employmenteducationny Youth.

  • ephraim medina (Vallehermoso, La Gomera, 1961) is the appointed director. Technician in sociocultural and community activities, emigrant returned to Candelaria, his town, where he was a councilor. Serafín Mesa will have a Training and Youth delegation. Mesa (La Orotava, 1996), has been the Secretary General of the Young Nationalists since 2021. The doctor Juan Acosta, mayor of Santa Úrsula since 2015, will be in charge of Education for prevention.

Natural environment.

  • It also includes Sustainability, Security and Emergencies. Southern Blanca Pérez (1966) undertakes the task from his proven experience in different administrations. One of the few from CC who repeat with Efraín Medina. He sounds like the insular director of the geographer Pedro Millán, who was number 18 on the CC list for the 28M.

Industry and Commerce.

  • The owner is Manuel Fernandez (S/C de Tenerife, 1977). The area includes the Primary Sector and Animal Welfare that will be carried out by Valentín gonzalez (San Miguel de Abona, 1966) –he was mayor of his municipality– with a special delegation. Both remain from the previous mandate, the same as Águeda Fumero. Krysten Martín arrives from Santiago del Teide and it opens with a delegation in Commerce and Business Support.

Mobility.

  • Mobility will be led by Maria Eulalia Garcia (1966), former General Director of Dependency and Disability of the Government of the Canary Islands. The former councilor of the capital of Tenerife, Dámaso Arteaga (S/C de Tenerife, 1967) will be in charge of the Highways area.

Culture, Museums and Sport.

  • Another chicharrero exedil, the popular José Carlos Acha (S/C de Tenerife, 1963), is the director and has extensive experience. He will exercise with delegation in Sports, the former basketball player Yolanda Moliné (S / C de Tenerife, 1973), who was also a councilor in Santa Cruz.

Municipal Cooperation and Housing.

  • sonia hernandez (La Laguna, 1972) will direct the area also for the PP. Businesswoman and former vice president of Fepeco, the construction employer.

Research Innovation and Development.

  • Juan Jose Martinez (1968) will be the counselor for CC. Graduate in Economics and Business from the ULL He has extensive experience in management and has also worked for the Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Council.

Axes.

reduce lists wait in dependency, fight poverty and solve mobility problems –especially the traffic collapses on the two highways– are the axes of the CC-PP pact for the insular government. Bet on the Circuit Engine and gas as transition energy.

Rosa Dávila is not even close to Richard Nixon and she has not had her watergate scandal because she just arrived, but these are the men (and women) of the president.
