The local government board Santa Cruz City Hall approved yesterday the modification of the project called Court Cover CEIP Gaviño del Bosque for an amount of €72,960IGIC not included, in favor of the contractor entity Ecocivil Electromur GE, and which also means an extension of the execution period by two months until, specifically, the end of next August.
As explained in the file, in December of last year the works contract was formalized with Ecocivil Electromur GE, for an amount of 495,094.44 euros, IGIC not included, and an execution period of 5 months, beginning the roofing works of the field of said school center at the end of January of this year and with the forecast of finishing on the 26th of last June.
However, last March the optional management of the work requested authorization to start a file to modify the project, based on the fact that the original contemplated an evacuation of rainwater in an existing chest, which was found to have collapsed due to the roots of the trees around.
Specifically, there is a tree in the southwest corner of the intervention that affects the geometry of the roof, its base being weakened by recent excavations and because part of the stands do not have solid support and may be affected by the construction process. , as detailed in the file. The local Government Board authorized said modification of the project, initiating the file, and in May the Technical Service of Urban Projects, Infrastructures and Works issued a favorable supervision report on the modified project presented by the optional management Estudio Funcional SL, increasing the budget by 78,067 .31 euros, IGIC included, which represents an increase of 14.74%, and considering an extension of the execution period of two months.

After the issuance of perceptive favorable reports, the Local Government Board, in its session held yesterday, approved the modification of the works contract and authorized the expense for a total of 72,960 euros, IGIC not included, to attend a case of reversal of the taxable person, in favor of the contractor entity Ecocivil Electromur GE; as well as the expense amounting to 5,107.21 euros, for the IGIC, in favor of the Government of the Canary Islands.
