Dácil León will lead the areas of Tourism and Employment, and Luis García, Urbanism

More for Arona will have an important weight in the municipal government that has just started its journey in one of the main municipalities in the South. docile Lionnumber 1 on the list of the formation made up of the politicians who left the PSOE last term, will be the second deputy mayoress and will lead the areas of Tourism, Economic Promotion, Primary Sector and Employment. Meanwhile, Luis García will be in charge of another of the vital departments in the Aronero City Council: Urban Planning and Territorial Planning.

The PP will direct, in addition to the Mayor’s Office, departments such as Security, Culture and Transport

The team formed thanks to the pact between the Popular Party, Más por Arona and Canarian Coalitionand directed by the popular Fátima Lemes, the first female mayor in the history of the southern town, will have Juan Sebastián Roque, also from Más por Arona, as head of Contracting, Public Works and Housing.

The areas of the Popular Party

Regarding the areas of the PP, Luis Sierra will be the third deputy mayor and will direct the municipal areas of Education, Culture, Sports and Youth. Meanwhile, Devi Pereyra will lead the management of Human Resources, Security, Heritage and Transportation. Canarian Coalition will also have a decisive weight in the new team made up of Fátima Lemes. In this way, Clara Pérez will be the first deputy mayor and will take charge of Environment, Sustainability and Public Services. Meanwhile, the also nationalist Ruth Martín will lead the social block: Social Services, Citizen Participation, Transparency and Modernization. And finally, Guacimara Tavío has been entrusted with the task of presiding over the economic area, including the Treasury.

CC also receives important areas: Social Services, Economy, Finance and Public Services

These are the eight councils that Fámita Lemes will lead to, in the words of the mayoress of Arona, “change the course of the municipality.” Already in taking possession of it, the policy of the PP assured that “we want to do things differently, with a short and medium-term project to improve the management and professionalism of the City Council.”

A “historical” stage

Dácil León faces a stage that he describes as “historic” in the southern Consistory. “We want a more agile and efficient City Council, closer to the citizenry, fairer and more transparent,” he highlighted in his appearances. «It is a pride to be part of a new political project that excites and receives the valuable support, trust and collaboration of so many good aroneras and aroneros like those who have met at our headquarters and like those that I know will be joining this training as they learn about our proposals and commitments”, León remarked about the beginning of the journey of Más por Arona, a party formed by the socialist militants who left the party last term, unhappy with the management of former mayor José Julián Mena, who becomes the leader of the opposition, despite prevailing in the elections on May 28, after not being able to reach an absolute majority and being outclassed by the alliance of Partido Popular, Coalición Canaria y Más por Arona.
