The Teide

If there is a point on the island that offers heart-stopping images, it is the Teide National Park. A natural landscape that attracts not only tourists and residents, but also large film companies that come to film here. To discover the best panoramic views, there are 41 itineraries with different lengths and difficulties, but one of the best is to climb the peak of Teide and, if the sky is clear, be dazzled by the views that this space offers.

One of the most popular routes is the Montaña Blanca – Pico del Teide trail. It begins on the Montaña Blanca track, an example of explosive volcanism emitting pumice. Subsequently, we go to the old access road to the Peak, which goes up Lomo Tieso to the Altavista Refuge and which presents a strong unevenness. The path continues over black flows of young lava. To climb the peak of Teide on your own it is necessary to request a permit on the national park website (https://www.reservasparquesnacionales.es/). It must be taken into account that they are distributed 200 permits a day and the demand is very high.
