The City Council of La Laguna, through the Department of Works and Infrastructures, begins tomorrow the resurfacing work of the La Cuesta-Taco highway in the section of the University Hospital of the Canary Islands (HUC), which will force reorganization throughout the week access traffic to the hospital premises.
The area councilor, Adolfo Cordobés, explained that the work will be carried out at night, between 8:30 p.m. and 6:00 a.m., which “we have previously agreed with the hospital to try to affect as little as possible, both the people who visit the center as well as the entrances and exits of the personnel in the different shifts”.
The asphalting will be carried out simultaneously in the two lanes of the road. In the first phase, the section will be undertaken up to the hospital traffic lights, so that the HUC exit towards the Las Mantecas roundabout can continue to be used. In this first, the entrance to the HUC for vehicles arriving from Santa Cruz de Tenerife must be done through access 5A of the motorway, the same as the University. Vehicles coming from the North can access through exit 7D that leads to Avenida del Paso and Los Majuelos, crossing the TF-5 roundabout and from there to the Patrona de Canarias area and the Las Mantecas roundabout to connect with Emergencies .
The second phase will be the section between the traffic lights and the hospital roundabout, which will facilitate access from the TF-5 motorway to access the Emergency area.
