According to the forecasts of the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET)the heat will give a little respite to Canary Islands this weekend after a week in which the high temperatures have set the weather trend on the islands.
Therefore, the General Directorate of Security and Emergencies of the Government of the Canary Islandsin application of Specific Emergency Plan of the Canary Islands for Risks of Adverse Meteorological Phenomenathe alert for forest fires will end from 09:00 this Saturday.
The advisory is in effect on the islands of The iron, The Palm, La Gomera and Tenerife; as well as in Gran Canaria from elevation 200 upwards in the north of the island, and from elevation 400 upwards in the west, south and east.
As reported by the regional government, this completion has been adopted as the high temperatures that justified its declaration in recent days have disappeared.

In the north and west, cloudy intervals, with a predominance of cloudy skies in the early and late hours. In the rest, little cloudy or clear skies. Temperatures unchanged or slightly lowering. In the rest, little cloudy or clear skies. Falling temperatures, especially the maximum in interior areas. 30-32 ºC can still be reached locally in the midlands of the west and southeast. North component wind, with strong intervals on summits and west and southeast slopes, where occasional very strong gusts are not ruled out. Breezes on southwest coasts. TENERIFE

North component wind, with strong intervals in the far west and east slope, and with occasional very strong gusts in the south of the metropolitan area. Breezes on west coasts.
