The president of the Parliament of the Canary Islands, Astrid Pérez, announced this Thursday that the regional deputy Fernando Clavijo, from the Canary Islands Coalition (CC), is the “only candidate” who has sufficient support and is therefore proposing him for the investiture.
In statements to journalists after completing the round of talks with the NC, VOX, ASG and AHI groups, he stressed that the plenary session will be held on July 11 and 12 in such a way that the inauguration will take place on July 14 and that of the members of the Executive a day later.
As detailed by Pérez, Clavijo’s candidacy already has the endorsement of 38 votes from the Nacionalista, Popular, ASG and AHI groups, which have signed a government pact by which Clavijo will be president and Manuel Domínguez (PP), vice president. and Minister of Economy.
