SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, June 29 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The improvement works in the Heliodoro Rodríguez López stadium will be able to begin this summer after the award to the company VVO Construcciones y Proyectos of the works for the rehabilitation of public toilets and the bidding for the construction management, whose applications may be submitted until next July 7th.
This is the last step needed to start work on the site, which will have an execution period of 18 months.
The president of the Cabildo de Tenerife, Pedro Martín, assures in a note that “after having carried out the necessary reforms in the structure of the building at the time and installing a new lighting system, our priority now is the bathrooms located in the different stands and dimensions”.
In this sense, it advances that the disassembly of the first toilets is planned for the end of July.
Pedro Martín also stresses that “the Heliodoro Rodríguez López stadium is the home of all Tenerife residents, which is why the Cabildo has made an enormous effort to promote and carry out all these projects and actions that will improve the safety, accessibility and comfort of the facilities”.
The works have been awarded for an amount of 626,448 euros, with another 32,100 euros for construction management.
In total, seventeen women’s, men’s, and adapted toilets located in the different stands and levels, within the rings that give rise to the enclosure, will be carried out, in accordance with the execution project carried out by the architect Carlos A. Schwartz.
The works will include the disassembly and demolition of the existing toilets, the realization of a new waterproofing under the roof, the incorporation of new pavements and coatings, the introduction of a new plumbing distribution network for the toilets, the replacement of the appliances toilets, the assembly of a new carpentry and the realization of new finishes and painting.
