Canary Islands expect clear skies this Friday, although with certain predominance of cloudiness in low areas of the eastern islandsas well as a drop in temperaturesespecially the maximum, according to the forecast of the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet).

At sea, winds from the northeast component of force 4 or 5 are forecast, increasing during the afternoon in some areas to 6, as well as swell increasing to strong swell and swell from the north with waves of 1 to 2 meters.

By islands, the forecast for this Friday is as follows:

Clear skies with a predominance of cloudy skies in low-lying northern areas. Light haze in height. Temperatures in general in decline, being notable in the maximum of interior areas. It may exceed 34 ºC in the southern midlands. North component wind with strong intervals in the extreme west and east, where occasional very strong gusts are not ruled out, especially during the second half of the day. Predominance of breezes on southwest coasts.

Minimum temperatures with few changes and decreasing maximums. Moderate to strong northeast wind with very strong gusts in the southern half, especially in the afternoon.

In the west, cloudy intervals. Little cloudy or clear in the rest. Light haze in height. Minimum temperatures with few changes and decreasing maximums, being notable locally on the western slope. Moderate to strong northeasterly wind with occasional very strong gusts in inland areas and on the southern slopes of jandiaespecially in the afternoon.

Northeast wind with strong intervals on the eastern slope and extreme northwest, as well as on the southern façade of the metropolitan area, where there will be occasional very strong gusts during the second half of the day.

Moderate northeast wind, with strong intervals on the summits and east and northwest slopes, with occasional very strong gusts during the second half of the day, prevailing breezes on the south coast.

Moderate to strong northeast wind, with probability of occasional very strong gusts on the southeast slope and extreme northwest in the afternoon, prevailing breezes on the southwest coast.
