The Reggaeton Beach Festival Tenerife will finally be held in Puerto de la Cruz

These days all eyes are on the expected Reggeaton Beach Festival (RBF). At first it was going to be held in La Laguna but after not being able to address the deficiencies that the municipality pointed out to it in time, the organization has decided to move it to Puerto de la Cruz.

But that’s not all, it will be framed within the Cook Music Fest, another festival to be held from July 14 to 22. In this way, the dates and artists of the Cook Music Fest do not change, but those of the Reggeaton Beach Festival are added on July 1 and 2. So, Cross port will host both events, now merged, to become the largest festival in the Canary Islands, as confirmed by both organizations in a joint statement.

Both festivals will be held on the esplanade of the Puerto de la Cruz pier. The first event will feature international artists such as Myke Towers, Justin Quiles, Arcangel or Manuel Turizo, among many others. But the Cook Music Festival is not far behind as it will bring together on the same stage Rubén Blades, María Becerra, Ana Mena or Prince Royce.

Despite having issued a statement informing of the change of location, the RBF website still shows that it will be held in La Laguna, something that has baffled those who have bought the ticket and wish to attend, since there are only four days left.

Cancellation of RBF Tenerife 2022

It must be remembered that the RBF was canceled in 2022 after having several licensing problems. One of the artists scheduled to perform was Justin Quiles, who was on the island when the event was canceled with just 24 hours notice.

To counteract the paralysis of the event, the singer decided to organize an impromptu surprise concert, notifying his fans at short notice through Instagram so that they would come to the meeting point. The concert turned out to be in the protected area of La Tejita beach, in El Médano (Granadilla de Abona). Given this, a group of environmentalists decided to denounce him, accusing him of damaging the environment and of holding a massive event in a protected area.

Despite what he experienced last year, Justin Quiles has not hesitated to sign up for this great event on an island that, as he himself has acknowledged on several occasions, holds a special place in his heart.
