The Mayor of Santiago del Teide, Emilio Navarro, accompanied by different councilors, today welcomed the 9 people who have started working for the town hall within the employment project “Santiago del Teide, for Sustainable Development” Promoted by the Cabildo de Tenerife and the Santiago del Teide City Council.
These 9 people, after completing the initial phase of the aforementioned project, have begun to work on this agreement for a period of 9 months by carrying out works and services of general and social interest that contribute to the achievement of sustainable development objectives through local level, as well as the diversification of the insular productive structure.
In this sense, for the recovery of the area called Los Baldíos and agricultural areas of the municipality, 1 agricultural technical engineer, 1 draftsman, 1 construction and civil works engineer (hydrology) and 1 law graduate have been hired. For the improvement of the welfare and integration services of the residents of the municipality, 2 socio-cultural facilitators have been hired, while for the development of plans and active policies to promote employment and the economic development of the municipality, 2 have been hired. medium technicians in business administration and 1 law graduate.
The project “Santiago del Teide, for Sustainable Development” is subsidized by the Cabildo de Tenerife within the framework of the call for direct subsidies to the town councils of the island of Tenerife, aimed at supporting projects that contribute to the achievement of sustainable development objectives at a global level. as well as the diversification of the insular productive structure.
