The Cabildo de Tenerife activates grade 1 measures for the prevention of forest fires starting at 7:00 a.m. this Tuesday, taking into account the weather circumstances and the alert declaration decreed by the Government of the Canary Islands on the island of Tenerife.
Specifically, it is prohibited to make fires outdoors, whether they are barbecues, bonfires or gas stoves, the use of any type of machinery or tool that can project sparks is suspended – brushcutters, welding equipment or cutting radials – and The use of any pyrotechnic material in risk areas is prohibited.
The Cabildo also recommends not accessing or staying in the forest areas of the island for the duration of the alert and taking extreme precautions throughout the island territory with any activity that could generate fires such as tobacco, use of generators or electrical and pyrotechnic material.
The restrictions corresponding to degree 1 of forest fire prevention will remain active until the end of the alert situation, collects a note from the corporation.
