The drivers who have entered the capital of Tenerife this morning have suffered the important traffic jams that have occurred due to the changes in traffic in Santa Cruzwhich will last until the first half of September due to the expansion work on the treatment plant.
The Santa Cruz Local Police has reported this Monday that the traffic jams have occurred in the accesses to the capital from the North and South highways (TF-5) and (TF-1) towards Manuel Hermoso Rojas avenue, whose initial section is closed for works.
The alternative enabled during the closure of the different lanes is to access through Álvaro Rodríguez López street, where the Local Police have tried to redirect traffic.
Likewise, the police have insisted that if they go to La Salle avenue or Constitución avenue, they can return to Manuel Hermoso Rojas avenue via Clara Campoamor street.
Lastly, and as it was detected that many drivers do not know the alternative access routes, the signage for this itinerary will be strengthened, which allows decongestion on Álvaro Rodríguez López street and, by extension, the entrance to the city.
