SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, June 25 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The heat wave has forced the activation of the orange warning (significant risk) and the yellow warning (risk) due to maximum temperatures that could reach 37 degrees and that will affect Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria, Tenerife and La Gomera, according to the forecast of the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet).
Tomorrow Monday, June 26, Aemet has activated the yellow notice in Lanzarote, especially in inland areas, and in Fuerteventura, where thermometers may reach maximums of 34 degrees. Likewise, very strong gusts of wind are expected in the central peaks of Tenerife that can exceed 90 km/h.
On Tuesday, June 27, there will continue to be a yellow warning in Lanzarote and Fuerteventura and it will be extended to the northern half of Gran Canaria, Tenerife and La Gomera. In addition, there will be an orange warning in the southern half of Gran Canaria. That day it will reach 34-36 degrees in inland areas of the eastern islands, Tenerife and La Gomera, and may reach 37 degrees in Gran Canaria. There will also be very strong gusts in the central peaks of Tenerife in the early hours.
