The Provincial Prosecutor’s Office of Santa Cruz de Tenerife asks for a sentence of eight and a half years in prison for a woman for trying to stab her boyfriend to death in the house that both shared in the municipality of Adeje.
The summary, collected by Europa Press, indicates that the events occurred on August 29, 2020 around 1:00 p.m. when there was a strong discussion and the woman, “guided by the intention of ending the life of her sentimental partner ”, he stabbed him twice in the chest area with a knife about 20 centimeters in length and a 12-centimeter blade, which caused the man to bleed profusely.
After the attack, the woman left the home with her mother.
As a result of the assault, the victim, who has not claimed anything from his alleged attacker, suffered injuries consisting of two incised wounds in the thoracic region, a pneumothorax with a slight hemothorax, and a right lung contusion.
For his cure, details the Prosecutor’s Office, he required medical-surgical treatment consisting of healing and suturing the wounds in the anterior region of the thorax with three points, radiology and symptomatic treatment.
These injuries caused temporary loss of quality of life for at least 15 days and several scars.
Although the victim remained stable at all times, one of the injuries caused –right parasternal– entered the thoracic cavity, causing a laminar pneumothorax and mild hemothorax and could have been life-threatening.
The Prosecutor’s Office considers that the facts constitute a crime of attempted homicide and also requests the prohibition of approaching the victim within 500 meters or communicating with him during the five years after the time of sentence.
The trial will be held next Monday at 9:30 a.m. in the sixth section of the Provincial Court.
