SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, June 21 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The National Police, within the framework of actions aimed at suppressing small-scale drug trafficking in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, has arrested a 58-year-old man as the alleged perpetrator of a crime against public health committed in the neighborhood of La Galician.
The agents of the National Police, as a result of parallel investigations, learned that a retail drug sales point had been established in said neighborhood, run by an individual who carried out an important activity.
The investigators, after confirming the initial information and identifying the alleged perpetrator of the events, obtained the corresponding judicial authorization to proceed with the entry and search of the house from which the events were committed.
In a police device that had the collaboration of the Canine Guides Unit of the Local Police of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, the National Police arrested the main person investigated and searched a property in the La Gallega neighborhood.
In said search, the investigators intervened 1,340 euros in cash, 105 grams of cocaine, 935 grams of hashish, substances intended to cut the seized drug and a simulated weapon.
The detainee, after being heard in a statement at police stations, was placed at the disposal of the competent judicial authority, which determined his entry into preventive detention.
